Why should I take this course? New Level 3 Physical Interventions Trainer Award Launched by Awarding Bodies and SIA. From June 2010 all new Door Supervisors must have completed basic Physical Interventions Training. The SIA recognise that this is a specialist element of the mandatory training competencies. Therefore only Trainers holding the new Level 3 Physical Interventions Trainer Award (PITA) will be able to deliver this training. This award will sit as an independent award on the Qualification Curriculum Framework. The ICM Level 3 Delivering Physical Skills Training Award (ICM-DPST) maps directly accross to all the criteria set out in the Level 3 PITA. As an approved centre for the delivery of Physical Interventions Skills for both Edexcel and the ICM and having been directly involved in the creation of the PITA award with the SIA; M3T is in a unique position to offer a high standard of training with a depth of understanding and knowledge of this award, which is second to none.
